About the Team & Role:
Our standalone Sales function is a brand new initiative created to serve our most valuable clients. In this role, you will be the front-line ambassador for our most valued clients, leveraging deep industry knowledge, consultative sales techniques, and robust understanding of our platform’s capabilities. You will be integral to driving asset growth, expanding our footprint in the marketplace, and ensuring that every client receives a white-glove experience.
In this role, you will collaborate cross-functionally, working closely with our Product, Engineering, and Marketing teams to shape and deliver solutions that address complex, evolving client needs. You’ll influence the direction of our offerings by translating client insights into product enhancements, and you’ll cultivate relationships that turn prospects into long-term partners.
This is a remote position within the United States.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Acquisition & Growth: Actively prospect, cultivate, and onboard new high value clients—ranging from sophisticated retail investors to boutique hedge funds—contributing directly to our asset growth and revenue objectives.
- Account Management & Relationship Building: Serve as the primary point of contact for top-tier clients, maintaining ongoing dialogues to understand their evolving investment strategies, operational needs, and business goals.
- Strategic Sales Execution: Identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities to deepen client engagement with Composer’s suite of tools, products, and services, ensuring clients derive maximum value from our platform.
- Market Intelligence & Feedback Loop: Act as the “voice of the customer” within the organization. Gather, analyze, and present client feedback to Product and Engineering teams, influencing strategic product roadmaps and enhancing client satisfaction.
- Regulatory & Operational Oversight: Work closely with the Brokerage Operations team to oversee the onboarding process, ensuring a seamless client experience.
- Thought Leadership & Education: Partner with Product Marketing to develop educational content, market insights, and strategic narratives that attract and inspire clients, establishing Composer as a trusted thought leader in the automated trading space.
- Process Improvement: Lead initiatives that streamline operations, reduce friction in the client experience, and bolster efficiency, ultimately driving revenue and increasing assets under custody (AUC).
What We're Looking For:
- Sales Acumen: Demonstrated success in sales or relationship management roles within a broker-dealer or prime brokerage environment—someone who naturally identifies revenue opportunities and acts on them.
- Experience & Licensing: 2-4 years of experience in financial services, with a background in prime brokerage, prime services, or institutional sales. A Series 7 with a Series 63 or 66 license is required.
- Client-Centric Mindset: Proven ability to handle complex client inquiries, deliver empathetic and tailored solutions, and anticipate client needs before they arise.
- Exceptional Communication: Polished written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to convey complex investment concepts in a clear, compelling manner.
- Adaptability & Independence: Comfortable working autonomously, navigating ambiguity, and going above and beyond to meet client and organizational goals.
